the SAEs used to do that at my school, and they got the sand out with wet/dry shop vacs. As I remember, the cost of clean-up was actually factored into the budget. (the basement was a walk-out one, so they would open the doors and just shovel it out, then vaccum what was left).

Great Greek Mixer Idea

Check out our website at www.play52cardpickup.com for great mixer party packs that get party goers laughing, mixing, mingling and provides a great way to exchange cell numbers and emails. Let me know if you have any questions about this awesome party used by match.com and nightclubs and bars across the country.

Thanks,
Lesley Johnson

We have a Beta Beach party every early spring, we get bamboo sticks and line our decks, bring in 10 tons of sand to spread throughout the party room - usually about 6 inches deep everywhere, we booked a jimmy buffet cover band, they're called the Keywest Band, absolutely incredible...put out tiki torches, light up palm trees, it was the biggest party of the semester on the entire circle

Clean up wasn't that bad, we cleaned up with a couple shopvacs and then took the sand for horseshoe pits and restored a sand volleyball court - had a great party and racked up philanthropy hours

- Anything but clothes party. Dressing up in anything from wrapping paper, shopping bags, ribbon, tin foil, you name it.
- Golf pros and tennis hos
- Rubik's cube party. Everyone wears different pieces of clothing in the six different colors from a Rubik cube. By the end of the night, the goal is to be dressed in only one color.

One date party our social chair planned was called "My Tie". Sisters pulled eachother's names out of a hat. It was your job to find the sister you pulled out of the hat a date. You had to ask the date for a tie and could not tell them who they were going with.
The day of the social the men meet in one room and the girls in another. The guys and girls found out who their date by the tie!

Here are a few we have done

Destination/suitcase party - everyone comes to the party with their suitcase packed. At some point in the party (11:00 or so) a couple's name is drawn out of a hat and they leave immediately for the destination with the suitcase they have packed!

Half formal - either the top half of you or the bottom half is formal - the other half is casual. You get girls with silky tops and sweatpants for bottoms or guys with shirts and ties and atheltic shorts, etc.
