I don't get the whole mermaid style, it's so weird!

I think my love of the show is seeing how the bride's friends/family react to her trying on different dresses. Plus, there's Randy, I totally love him lol.

My favourite was the bride that brought her three guy friends, and one of them tried on his dream dress lol. They were SO funny, and it just looked like a fun group to be in.
The dress she ended up buying was so gorgeous though.

And I saw that trashy lingerie one, I think - wasn't there an episode where a woman wanted it in white instead and it ended up looking totally see through?? Well no kidding, it's not clothes! lol.
I never picture the dresses on me, but sometimes I really appreciate the magic they do with the women that come in there.

Except for the trashy lingerie dress.

The saddest part is that the trashy lingerie dress has been, BY FAR, the most tried on dress on the show.

Yes, it's been a little while now since I've seen someone try on the specific dress you're talking about, but for a while there, it was being tried on once or twice an episode. It made me wonder if it was a case of product placement.

yep, that was the one...as well as another. I can't believe that they had to "haggle" to lower the price for a dress that was 4 or 5 years old, and to still have found a lower price elsewhere.

Also, spending 11k on a dress the day you get engaged is a little insane to me.

Yeah. I've always thought that you should have at least a definite date and location before you purchase a dress. You never know what could end up happening.

Ex: You could run out and buy a huge wintery ballgown the day you get engaged, but end up having to have a summer wedding for whatever reason.

It has also happened that you go out and immediately buy a dress, then something happens and you end up setting a date like 3 years into the future. Chances are, over that timespan you will change your mind (esp. if you are going with a trendier looking dress).

That's how peeps end up with like 2 dresses and trying to figure out how to sell the one they ran out and bought 5 minutes after getting engaged before having any real plans (and have now decided they don't want. lol).

You know, I don't get the Pnina thing. 9/10 times I think the Pnina dresses they bring out are too-too.
