This is good reading, especially for girls who rush as upperclassmen.

Thanks for the bump; this is a well-written thread, and I enjoy re-reading it. I wonder how CurlyGirl is doing?

It's a great thread, and brings up a suggestion. Is it possible for a mod to delete all the extraneous posts and leave just the nitty gritty? I love the updates as it follows this young lady from the confusion of recruitment on a BIG campus to active life to post-collegiate life. But deleting out all the "I wish she'd post again!" and "oh, I just found this thread!" as well as mine now would make the thread easier to follow, since it is a whopping 15 pages long and doesn't have a single fight in the whole thing! Just a thought...

I disagree with this. I think taking out the extraneous posts would take away the integrity of this thread. So many people were obviously entertained and some moved by this young lady. Deleting GCer reaction to this thread isn't right, and I hope the mods take that into consideration by letting this thread stay as it is.
And if you don't like having to go through 15 pages, change your settings to show 40 posts per page. That way you'll only have to go through 6.

There isn't an "extraneous posts" filter button that mods can press. What you're suggesting would be a lot of hard work and a general pain in the ass.
If you want, you can search the thread for curlygirly's posts only and read it like that.

Less than 4 weeks until recruitment starts! So--I would like to bump up what's possibly our favorite rush thread from years past!

Outstanding thread. And the OP does everything "wrong". She names her school AND the houses. She is never snarky about anyone. No bystanders jump on her for naming names. The OP is a lady through and through.
