Oh, but wouldn't it be cute to shorten it to boodle?! Nope?

I'm glad fraternities don't do that. I would have smacked somebody if they called me a baby owl.

I'll come clean...while it wasn't a chapter thing by any means, my friends and I definitely called our new members "Baby Phis".

It's a new trend since I graduated, but my local now calls new members baby pandas, and I think it's adorable. I wouldn't have minded being called that a bit. But, it also doesn't bother me when the hubster calls me baby, so I guess it doesn't bother me in general.

Once, I was helping a friend shop for a COB event and she asked me to order the writing on the cake because she was too embarrassed to ask the woman at the counter to write "Congratulations Baby Foxes" on it. Its a local mascot for those of you wondering who has foxes.

Our AMC joked about calling our new AMs baby knights for a few weeks, only in private, but we were all a little worried that he would actually say it in front of people!

Damn. I should probably know better than to leak our secrets on the internet.

But whatever. You know you're all jealous because your organization wasn't created to honor three talking chipmunks.

We went with the bushier tailed squirrel as t-shirt wearing singing chipmunks weren't our style

As I typed my comment, I honestly thought, "I wonder which AGD will make a comment first..." LOL

I'm sure if Chipmunk's songs are played backwards it reveals the Alpha Sigma Tau ritual.

We just call our new members, new members. For some reason, I don't think being called a baby lyre would sit right.

We refer to them as "babies", but usually to other people or in casual conversation. During announcements, chapter, meetings, etc., they are "new members". Being called a baby in reference to being in the newest pledge class didn't bother me, but if people use that word just to describe me as being younger than them, it is super annoying.

We call two of the feral cats we feed "Kit" and "Kaboodle".

Yep, we always say "delta babies" when referring to our new sisters. I've always liked it. In fact, most of my pledge class is a little sad we won't be the most recent babies after recruitment next month. I've never heard anyone in my chapter express dislike for it.
