Good grief, GCers, stop explaining everything to these people. They have plenty of resources if they aren't too lazy to use them.

I really need to stop feeding the trolls when I'm bored. My apologies.

LOL. Nah, it would be fun if you all's posts weren't so serious. Let these usernames talk to the people at their schools and in the sororities. It will prepare them for life.

If I got an F, those credits would not transfer.
Capice?

sooo....how would that help me? you basically just said the credits transfer not the grades...which is what i thought. how would having more credits help me?

Read the whole thread. Someone said to look into online courses of some sort, someone else came on and said that wouldn't matter since only credits, not GPA, transfer. So it's a moot point.
More credits would not help you if taken outside of your own school. Anyhow, that's not a discussion for here. Talk to your advisor and worry about getting into your intended major. That will matter a hell of a lot more in a few years when you're trying to find a job out there in this tremendously tough market rather than if you happened to get into a sorority.

Go sign up for the 9 credits this summer. Just do it. If the computer won't let you, go in and get an approval. Figure out a way to get it done and do well in the classes. If this is what you want then do it.

I'm not going to give you a script. Think about it. If you want it badly enough figure it out. Present yourself maturely and collected. I would opt not to mention the sorority and focus more on the fact that you want your GPA to be higher. Understand why the limit is at 7 and why you think you will be able to excel with 9. As long as things are possible, there are ways to get it done. This is a lesson on how to navigate life. If you want this enough, then go get it done. Today.

OH MY GOD. I wasn't by any means a fully functional contribution to society at 18 or 19 but I was certainly intelligent enough to email my advisor when I had a question and get an appointment. Or, *gasp*, pick up a phone and give them a call. Jesus.
If you're real and you continue to skip class for acneidon'twannagoihavenosociallifewaaahhhhhh you will not finish college. If you're real and you continue to come to messageboards about Greek life to get anonymous opinions on your ACADEMIC CAREER instead of talking to your advisor, you will not finish college. Forget a sorority. You have no business adding the smallest thing to your plate at this point.

If you want the approval for 9 credits, make an appointment and go in to talk to him face to face. Do you want advice? Asking him on the phone/e-mail will almost assuredly not work.

Then why in god's name are you here asking questions from people that do not know you, your school, or any answers?
My advice is to:
1. Get a therapist.
2. Find a study skills program.
3. Find a friend.
4. Then go find something else to do. You deserve no sympathy, empathy, whatever at this point. Continuing to come back for punishment indicates some serious issues.
