We agree that the events that culminated in the arrest of these young men appear to be racist-inspired. In this day and age, this is unacceptable. One of the young men -- Marcus Jones -- has already been convicted by an all-white jury of two felonies and faces a lengthy jail sentence. The others are awaiting their day in the court and the outlook for a fair trial is unlikely. This represents a gloomy future for these young men, who range in age from 15-18.

Leadership was so great!!!- Seeing Sorors from the chapter in which I was initiated and spending time with my Soror who was initiated with me and her daughter who just became a Soror was beautiful!!! I am truly proud of our organization-we continue to lead by example!!!

Soror Barbara McKinzie will be appearing live as a guest on the show "Greatness By Design" that airs on XM Radio, Channel 155. The host of the show is Blanche Williams. This is the same station that airs Oprah's radio show so it's highly popular.
The program airs on Sunday, December 9 from 5:30 - 6PM EST and 4:30 Central time. Please check your local listing if you are on the west coast.
Soror Barbara will talk about the upcoming Centennial and reflect on AKA's 100 years of progress.

I am still pouting about the fact that I can't be in DC on Founder's Day... There's no way I can get the day off, especially when I'm going to have to take off for the Regional Conference in March...
But I will attend my cluster's founder's day, which will be on the 26!
