Badge/Pin Light

Hi everyone! I need some assistance. I am a member of my chapter's House Corporation, and we need to replace our pin light. Any ideas on where I could locate a supplier?

Thank you in advance!!

Could it possibly be a light shaped like the sorority badge (pin)?

Clarification....

I'm so sorry!!!

A pin light is a light shaped like your badge. For example, ours is shaped exactly like the Chi Omega badge, with white round light bulbs in each spot where a pearl/diamond would be.

I guess they aren't too common (but every single house on our campus has one--maybe it's just an Indiana thing? And that would explain why I can't locate one...hmmm)

Now that I know what they are, I want one!

Look on the back of it and see if you can locate a manufacturer's name. This definitely sounds like a special/made to order sort of thing.

We have one of those in our house at my campus, shaped exactly like the AXD Quill. Every house on our campus has one too, but we're in Ohio, so it's not just an Indiana thing. I agree with what 33girl said...look for a manufacturer on the light. Or, if you don't want to ask the other houses on your campus, you might even want to try to find one of your alumnae who was around when the light was originally bought.

I thought she just spelled pen incorrectly and was looking for pen lights...

At my old chapter we made our own pin light. We drilled holes into a piece of plywood and stuck christmas lights where the pearls are typically on our pin. It was about a 3 ft x 3 ft replica but I'm curious, how big are these pin lights? And what are they used for?

I think I'm still confused what it is.

Is it kind of like the Batman signal... except in the shape of your org's pin?

If it's what I think she's talking about, look at the kite above the door and to the right on Theta's house at IU:

Their pin, with lights. Though you can't really see the lights in that picture. I thought that was one of the neatest things about the houses at IU, as just about every sorority seemed to have one outside... sometimes even in lieu of letters.

That's so cool. Now, once we know the answer to the OP's question, we're all going to order them for our chapter houses, aren't we?

Pin Lights at Kentucky

Some (most) of the houses at UK had them too. Here's a picture of Kappa Alpha Theta, where you can see the badge light fairly clearly.

These have been around FOREVER on campus. I wouldn't have a clue where to order a new one. Maybe a sign / lighting / neon company?
