From what I've heard, they keep it in the freezer!

No itching powder, no Ben-gay, it just chaffed. And yes, usually someone thought it was funny to put it in the freezer (right next to the aerosol cheese) just before ritual!

Since everyone is spilling secrets, I suppose it doesn't hurt to let you in on ASA's initiation costume, either.
Because we're one of the smaller nationals, many of you aren't familiar with the whole ASA Queens of the Desert theme - if you've heard of us at all, you're probably thinking ladybugs or something like that.
With all the recent unpleasantness in the Middle East, some of the alumni have suggested that we get rid of the Rituals of Baghdad, but traditionalists won out
Note that the costume HAS to be in the traditional ASA crimson and white. A ladybug-charm naval piercing is optional.
33girl's chapter went more with the "I dream of Jeannie" look, which wasn't 100% kosher, but national never cracked down on it

As long as our belly buttons were clean, they were cool with it.
That looks like what one of my sisters wore a couple Halloweens ago, actually, only hers was all black. I think that was from the special memorial service.

What's this I hear about ritual sequined thongs? Sounds like some GLOs were real trend setters.

You can always tell when Tri-Delts at Iowa State are initiating their pledges- you can hear the "ee! ee! click-click-click!" of the sacrificial dolphin miles away.

Jocelyn..how could you?! You might have well just told that we also prace around to "I feel pretty" from West Side Story! Thank god you didn't say anything about that part of our ritual where we get out canoes in a huge baby pool and wear nothing but striped purple and white bikinis and sailor hats! I mean no one does regulation sailor hats like our HQ!

OMG! I can't believe someone put our ritual thongs online! No one is supposed to know about these!

Wow! I'm really intrigued here!!!
I bought that first outfit while in Disney World a couple years ago (which I found slightly amusing in the first place!). Would that mean that (*gasp*) Minnie Mouse is an ASA?!?!?!?!
