CONGRATULATIONS!!!
So this was the very first GC post I've read since surviving the blackout, and you can't imagine my thrill at learning that Blazer Cheer has joined her sister in Chi Omega! Such a wonderful, happy ending, or rather, happy beginning in Chi O! Also, just have to say thanks for the link to the Bid Day photos...all those girls looked like they were having the time of their lives. It looks as if every chapter at VSU is wonderful! And all those Bid Day shirts were adorable, I especially loved how Chi O had tanks for the sisters and tees for the new members, very cute.
Well, Congrats again to BlazerCheer, Ballerina, Carnation and all the VSU sororities.

that was the number when i went through rush
however, that was the year that alpha gam was established
so, they probably do need another sorority
it'll take a year or so for them to get competitive enough for the others

OMG (tearing up), the mom of the other Valdosta cheerleader who went Chi O--a Chi O herself--just grabbed me and described what it was like when our 2 girls came running out of the administration building--the girls are let out 3 at a time--towards the giant Chi O letters. She's going to give me pictures....oh, I wish I could've been there!

Has she been initiated yet?
Everytime I think of The Carnation Nation I chuckle. What a great name.

Thank you for the sweet thoughts!
BC hasn't been initiated yet..the Chi Os wait until grades come in and it'll probably be January.
The Carnation Nation is taking a siesta from recruitment until next fall when the fourth daughter will rush. She's cut her college choices down to two and is visiting 3 Phi Mu friends of hers tomorrow at one college. She may be visiting the AOIIs soon at the other one!

I'm seeing this Wine-Pink-Red pattern running through the Carnation Nation...! You do realize that y'all will definitely have to come up with a flag of sorts at some point, don't you?
And I won't start driving you crazy about which schools D#4 is looking at until it's a bit closer!

No, dang it. Alphabetically and combined (since one or both schools have these chapters): Alpha Gam, AZD, AOII,Chi O, Tri Delt, DZ, KD, and Phi Mu are the possibilities right now.
So...she's a legacy to AOII and XO and has cousins in AOII, DZ, and Phi Mu.

well, of course you know where I hope the carnation nation expands, but I am sorry to hear you won't be having a pi phi daughter so early in the lineup....
should we root for AGD/AOPi/ChiO to keep the red/wine thing going?
