Thanks Carnation!
I'm very partial but I think the house is cool too & you're right...everyone always says it reminds them of New Orleans. I grew up only 2 hours away from New Orleans so perhaps I was instinctively drawn to the architecture as well as the girls :-) I do remember the first time visiting the campus while still in high school & pulling up to Magnolia Drive. My mom says my eyes grew huge when I laid eyes on the Chi O house so I guess it was love at first sight!!

Whoaaaaa
I know Alabama recruitment is huge, but this seems massive (unless I'm not remembering previous numbers correctly...)

Latest word is that PNM numbers are over 1600 and they are expecting quota to be around 90.
Your best bet is to park on one of the side streets on the Tutwiler dorm side and walk down to sorority row.
There is going to be more regulation (with security at each house) of who can come in the sorority houses on bid day. Boyfriends and random students will not be allowed. This might discourage some of them from coming but I wouldn't count on it!

Where will the parents of all these girls park for bid day? Isn't that move in day for the rest of campus?

Honey, if they can find parking for 120,000 people on game day, this piddling group won't have a problem!

no really, can anyone recommend parking for bid day? We're driving in from oos, and don't want to spend the morning looking for parking.
I've always wondered where everyone parked for ball games too.

spoke with my daughter today-she is moving into a condo. this week and will begin grad. school at bama in a few weeks. she said it is oppressively hot, heat index in the triple digits and we were commiserating on the poor rushees in auburn who begin parties on monday and for the bama girls the next week.

I'm not sure if she will be able to, but I have encouraged her to do so. I know that she has orientation at some point during rush week and hopefully she will have a part time job by then, too.

Having rused and pledged at a Pac 10 school, I am not familiar with the parent involvement on bid day. It sounds like a wonderful experience for both the parents and daughter. Can someone share information about the events?
