Glad you're having a great time and that you've got a frontrunner, but remember that things can always change between now and bid day. GOOD LUCK and cant wait to hear about everything!

Thank you! I am keeping my mind open, but it is a little hard to ignore the feelings you get when you walk into a house and feel like this is home and feel like you've known the girls you talk to for years.... I'm so corny I know...

I am excited to share the full details of everything because it's all so exciting. I keep reminding myself to take notes because otherwise it seems like just a big blur. I do not know how girls can do 15 houses or so in one day. Blows my mind.

18 in one day when I went through. Your head was spinning by the end of the day and you had no idea what houses you liked.

BID DAY IS SO MUCH FUN SO FAR! Anywho, here is the first night of recruitment

Night One:
On the first night, I probably changed my outfit 5 times. I finally decided on an outfit headed over to meet the two panhellenic girls early in the student center. I spoke to the two of them for a bit and then did some homework nearby while they handed out nametags. A few minutes later one of them panhellenic girls came over and started talking to me. Then another girl who was rushing came and sat next to me too. She was a junior and so sweet. The panhellenic girl came over and we chatted for a bit and then headed out. The first house we went to was Ariel.

Ariel was affiliated with a national sorority, until a certain year when nationals basically told them they could not offer a bid to a PNM, and if they did there would be severe consequences. The active sisters of Ariel were horrified and decided to disaffiliate. I was given a history lesson before I was given a tour. The tour was with a girl who I had a class with during a previous semester. She showed me all of the rooms as well as the cold dorm. The cold dorm there was my least favorite. We chatted for a while and got on great. The house had little candles everywhere and smelled SO great. It was a warm and welcoming feeling. Once we finished the tour we went down to the living room and started talking. People came up to me introducing themselves and were all super friendly and nice. I really had a great time there and loved all the girls I met.

My new friend and I then walked to Jasmine. This house was pretty nice. All of the walls were freshly painted and the girls were very friendly. This time my new friend and I went on a tour together with one of the girls. This house was nice and the tour guide was nice, but I just didn't really feel as at home there as i did at Ariel. We played fun games and they had more food than Ariel, but overall Jasmine didn't really seem like a place id fit into. The girls there were really nice, but I just didn’t see myself really fitting in with them. I really liked their cold dorm the best.

My new friend and I then headed to Belle. This was one of the houses I had really wanted to get into a while back. We got there late (we only had 18 minutes) and got a quick tour. My new friend didn't seem interested so she sort of rushed us out. I was kind of bummed out but I decided that ill visit again the next day by myself. This was by far the nicest house I’ve seen yet.

I didn't have a chance to go to Cinderella since it was the furthest away but it’ll be the first house I go to next time. I would like to visit Cinderella, Belle, and Ariel.

You have over 2,000 views on your story. There are LOTS of people reading it. Many of us just don't comment all the time because it makes the threads so long.

Trust me. People want to hear the ending. Post away!

Please post and finish. TriDeltaSallie is 100% correct; most readers don't post because it makes the threads really long. (AAMOF I have taken a vow not to post anything until the end of a thread, offering congratulations, so this is my final post of the recruitment season.) You're getting lots of views which shows major interest.

OK I've done my part, your turn!

Yep, definitely. I stay away from the rush stories with zillions of posts because half of them are something inane like "whoo hoo! Go Melon!"

This is one I actually am very interested in.

Haha okay. I wasn't too sure. I didn't even notice all of the views! Wow. I'll just post the next two installments.

Round 2- Theme Night

Tonight I went to Cinderella, Belle, and Ariel.

I went to Cinderella first. This house was GORGEOUS. It was unbelievably nice. They definitely had the nicest cold dorm. I loved it. I got another personal tour, which was lovely and the girls were super nice. I felt a little awkward at times, but every time there was an awkward lull in the conversation it quickly went away. I thought that time was going by slowly until I discovered I spent over an hour in their house without realizing it! I really liked this house a lot. I also LOVED their theme.

I went to Belle next. I expected to fall in love, but I didn’t. I actually left after 20-30 minutes because the girls didn’t seem too interested in talking to me and were more concerned with talking to their friends. I was fine with it but I think it could have been handled better. Their theme was cute but they didn’t go as all out as the other two houses.

Last but not least I went to Ariel. When I got to the house, everyone looked genuinely happy to see me and I spoke to some more girls. Their theme was my favorite. It played into some things they have around the house. These girls were definitely dressed the nicest, but then again it played into their theme. I stayed right until the point in time where we are no longer allowed in the house.

I then went to go rate my preference of which skit nights I wanted to go to. We had to rate 2 houses as 1 and 2 and then the other 2 as 3 and 4. This was how I rated:
1.Ariel
2.Cinderella
3.Belle
4.Jasmine
I then walked back to my room, called my mom, and crawled into bed and slept and dreamed of happy wonderful things =)

Round 3- Skit Night

I went to the room where I was supposed to get my schedule for the skit night. I got Ariel and Jasmine. Luckily I got two skits, but I couldn’t help but worry that getting one house at one time and another house at another time meant something. I was a little upset I didn’t get Cinderella or Belle, but at least I had a full schedule that night. Other girls were unlucky and only got one house, and they ended up choosing to drop out of recruitment.

Moving on, I spoke on the phone with my mom for a while about opening my mind and being more open to Jasmine.

Jasmine had a cute skit night, but it wasn’t something I really enjoyed. I did like talking to the girls a lot and they had a little ceremony at the end where each sister talked about what Jasmine meant to them and some of the sisters were crying. I really was touched. By the end of their party I was feeling a little confused.

Ariel had me the second I walked into their house. I loved it so much. I knew it was the place for me. Their skit was amazing and super organized. The girls were wonderful. I loved it.

I went to fill out my bid card and decided to take a huge risk. We could put 2 houses down, 1 house or not even submit a bid card. I chose to put one house down because I knew in my heart of hearts I could not accept a bid from the other house. I walked away feeling terrified. I knew that I would get a call the next morning informing me of my fate (my school doesn't have you meet anywhere, all the people who were involved with putting in numbers and preferences would call you early in the morning letting you know if you received a bid).

I'm confused... you filled out your bid card after skits, and not Pref? Was there no Pref night? Or did they do skits + Pref in one?
