I personally wouldn't get involved with someone from GC because I need to meet a person face to face before I could even consider trying a relationship with someone. I have enough issues when I meet guys IRL, I don't need to add the drama of meeting someone online and starting a relationship in that way.
Now, in regards to long distance, I'm not ruling it out, but I think it'd be pretty difficult to maintain committment when you're in completely different areas of the country/world and dealing with different situations in life. Give me a good ol' home-grown guy anyday!

This isn't exactly dating but.......
I got a DG's screen name off here, messaged her randomly, and I TOTALLY LOVE HER!!!!!!! She's honestly like an instant best friend and it's even better that she's my sister! Our families are even named the same!!!

That's awesome, and so funny because the same thing happened to me! She's a Phi Mu and we started talking because of what I can't remember.... but now we talk on IM a ton and on the phone too. She's fantastic, I'm so glad to find out I have great sisters everywhere
