Question Greek-related movies

I'm trying to compile a list of movies that feature fraternities and sororities...whether they be a bad or a good portrayal of the Greek system...or any type of movie......I just need help!

Here are ones I have already:

1. Animal House
2. Sorority Boys
3. The Skulls
4. Pumpkin
5. Legally Blonde
6. Van Wilder
7. Revenge of the Nerds

Thanks!

Just off your list Revenge of the Nerds has several sequels (each getting progressively worse). Legally Blonde is supposed to have a sequel coming out. The Skulls had a made for home video sequel that came out.

Three In The Attic

was a movie made in the 1960s, shot at the ATO house at North Carolina. It was a comedy about a fraternity guy named Paxton Quigley who was kidnapped by three x-girlfriends and imprisoned in an attic. Also, the 1960s movie The Graduate featured the Theta Delta Chi house & chapter at Berkeley.

Two cheesy 80's slasher flicks:

Sorority House Massacre

&

Sorority House Massacre Two...

The second featuring a sorority called "Sigma Pi" Im sure that the writers did A LOT of research on that one...

The almighty $$$ can make the movie industry create a sequel out of just about any movie.

And then there's the lifetime movie original "Dying To Belong" with Jenna Von Oy (From Blossom). It's a sorority hazing movie that we have to thank for perpetuating many stereotypes.

*Shudder*... My mom and sister saw that and actually thought that they did that... Lifetime and NBC "Moment of Truth" people sure churn out real good ones...

I knew a while back there was supposed to be a movie out called "Going Greek" because I remember going to the website. "Can't Hardly Wait" has Jerry O'Connell in a "DIK" fraternity shirt, but just very briefly. And who can forget "PCU"? "Road Trip" has a fraternity, but these movies aren't necessarily *about* fraternities and sororities... I think "Black Christmas" and "Scream 2" also have sororities in them. Hmm, you might want to go through IMDb.com, and do a keyword search. That's what I did, and TONS of returns came back with things like "Fraternity Vacation" and such, but I only listed above the ones I'd seen because I didn't know what the other ones covered...

Good Luck,
L.

This is true. It doesn't necessarily need a storyline...

All I know is that Reese Witherspoon has signed on for it, and it's titled "Red, White, and Blonde". Sounds interesting I'm sure I'll see it-I do own the first

Another movie-I had to consult Internet Movie Database for this, since I couldn't remember the exact title, but it's called "Fraternity Row". I saw it on Encore a few summers ago. It has Gregory Harrison as a pledge who is hazed in the 50s. The beginning credits show pictures of all sorts of actual organizations (I remember KD and ATO specifically) but the chapters in the movie were fictional.

I saw a preview for the new Legally Blonde, and she's some type employee in D.C. I'm excited cuz I really enjoyed the first one!

Another movie that just shows Greeks is Little Man Tate. There are benches that have been painted by different GLO's, and one I noticed was Phi Sigma Sigma.

There was a movie about 5 women who lived in their sorority house one summer, and when the house was being torn down 20 years later, the remains of a newborn baby was found. Stars included Loretta Swit and 4 others who I can't remember but are fairly big names. This will bother me all day until I remember its name!!

If you included tv shows, both Happy Days and Beverly Hills 90210 have a Greek thread. Happy Days used real GLOs, though.

Good idea for a thread!

I only heard about this movie since I work at a video store. It is called, "The Fraternity." Other than the title, I don't know anything about it! Also, I haven't seen this one either but it is called something like, "True Confessions of a Soroity Girl," something along those lines. It has Alyssa Milano from Who's the Boss and another girl, I think her name is Jamie. But, that is supposed to be a comedy.

The above movie was "Friendships, Secrets, and Lies" and came out in 1979.
