2008 Convention

Is anyone going to Convention this year?

I am considering going but have some details to work out. Kappa makes it very reasonable to go if you are representing your advisory or alumnae board.

I would love to, but neither our Alumnae Association nor my personal account can afford for me to go. Even with a grant, it's just too much. I went to KC in 2004 because it was within driving distance and had a fabulous time.

Maybe 2010 - I think it might be in Phoenix at the Biltmore again.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that my daughter will be able to go! The chapter Pres has a conflict, and she has expressed an interest in attending in her place. Hopefully, it will work out. I think that would be a wonderful experience for her!

I am planning to be there as an advisory board member. I sang in the choir at the last convention (SLC) and hope to do the same this year!

I love convention season!

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will be in Orlando in July. I am too excited for this is my first convention!

I think I'm going to drive down. Plane tickets are expensive, but splitting gas between 4 people isn't that bad. It's about a 10 hour drive from Santa Cruz, though. Ehh...

Is anyone driving down from the Bay Area?

About 8 of us will be driving out from southern California. It's pretty close, about 5 hours I think. It's going to be so much fun!

I just got back! When I was there, I was like dang, I should have arranged some way to meet up with the GC Kappas while I'm here! I thought about putting it on the reunion board but decided against it. Did you love Convention as much as I did??
