For-Profit Institutions

I tried a search, but couldn't really find anything (then again, I've never been good with GC's search function)...

A good friend is looking into a teaching job at a for-profit institution. I know nothing about them. The school she is looking at issues Bachelors and Associates degrees, both of which are certified through the state's university system.

Has anyone here had any experience with for-profit schools (as either a student or an employee)? I want to be supportive, but I'd hate to see her commit resume-suicide. (And maybe I'm being unfair by automatically thinking for-profit = resume-suicide. That's why I came here. Collectively, GC knows about everything!)
