Hi Futuregreek,
Recruitment is different at each school, and since I'm sure you would like to keep that a secret until you get in I won't ask, but if you want to tell us if recruitment is competitive or not we might be able to help you there.
As for hazing Zeta Tau Alpha is strictly no hazing. All panhellenic chapters have rules about not hazing.
If you have more questions to ask about the new member period that would be good starter discussion questions for when you go through recruitment.
Good Luck with Recruitment!

Pardon the forum crash, but futuregreek08, please read this: http://greekchat.com/gcforums/showthread.php?t=54403 when you have the time.
Focus on recruitment for now. The new member stuff will come later, if you receive a bid.

im not asking about greek life in general. i already know all of that from the booklet sent out by the university im going to. i want to know specifically about zta, hence why i asked. im not limiting choices, im trying to find out about this one because i became interested. i never said "this will be the only sorority i will consider".

OP, you can learn all the basic public info. about any NPC sorority at their national website (in this case, http://www.zetataualpha.org). Unless and until you have a bid from a group and are pledged, that's about all the details you're likely to get.
Good luck with rush in the fall!

Girls, don't lie to this potential new member. We beat our pledges on a daily basis. Sometimes, we turn the lights off and play pong by making them walk back and forth naked while we throw rotting citrus we used in our last batch of hunch punch.

It's actually "you're" and "I'm".
If you ask a question, it will be answered. If you don't accept that answer, you will learn about the joy of sarcasm.

thanks for the grammar lesson, however im fully aware of apostrophe rules. this is the internet lady, not english 101. also, i asked an answer in hopes that a few mature people would give me accurate responses. im trying to get a jump-start on what to expect next year and nothing more. if you only want to give immature austere responses, then please choose to answer someone elses question.

This is not text messaging. If you are ready to pledge Zeta, appear as if you are ready (i.e. punctuation and capitalization). Do you really expect people on this board to take you seriously when you write like a troll?

Jump start on what? Honey, you haven't gone through rush yet. You're not a ZTA. You can't have ZTA New Member expectations if ZTA did not give you an invitation for membership. It's not rocket science.
