You know what, I was going to post a reply, but then I realized it's another one of those "post without adding anything to it" threads.
I can visit youtube myself, provide a discussion point or don't bother to start a new thread with it.

I'm sure if that were a McCain clip the same response would have been issued.
The hostility that erupts when anyone has the audacity to say anything negative about Obama is pretty interesting. I'm not sure if it's more than normal candidates, but Obama certainly has that impact.

Ok, I am not on the Obama train at the moment but I do want to address this just in the interest of full disclosure.
First, this is not new "news", this all hit the fan right before/around the Ohio primary two weeks ago (which Obama lost, so even if he "lied" to garner favors with those voters, it didn't work).
Second, there's more information to the situation that has not gotten nearly as much coverage, because as we all know, the boring truth isn't nearly as delicious as the scandalous dirt. But much about that situation was blown well out of proportion and misrepresented and the Canadian government itself admitted to it. Here's another youtube clip for your viewing enjoyment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgxxWhzdhv0&eurl

The Canadian government did admit that it was blown out of proportion, but Obama initially denied the meeting took place until the memo surfaced. In the age of blogs, everything gets scrutinized to a ridiculous degree and blown out of proportion. This was a response to the McCain thread, I didn't post it two weeks ago because I feel that it's irrelevant. This is politics, we shouldn't be shocked that these people lie to get elected. There is such a huge difference in the beliefs of McCain and Obama that I would hope that not too many people are on the fence. McCain is pretty close to the kind of small government conservative that I like to endorse, if he were to get into office and somehow receive line item veto power then I think this country could cut through a lot of bogus spending and red tape.

I absolutely agree. The Washington Post even called this discrepancy out a few weeks ago, saying that in the eyes of the media Clinton and Obama are infallible, whereas the media takes every chance it can to attack McCain. And that Americans deserved to know the truth about what all has been covered up/avoided for so long.
And I considered this impressive, given that the Post is far from a conservative paper, and the comment was in no means in defense of McCain, but rather to just bring up a point of fact.

I like the Post a lot, despite its liberal leanings. It has retained its credibility for me, unlike the NYT.
Lately I haven't seen much about McCain being bashed. Actually, I haven't seen McCain's face on the news in a couple of days. I understand the story is less attractive considering he has it sewn up, but it'd be nice if we didn't have a starry-eyed press corps hanging on the every word of Barack.

The race between Barack and Hillary is occupying all of the press coverage. I don't know if this is a blessing or a tragedy for McCain, Karl Rove seems to think the latter based on an interview I saw. The constant bashing between the two could actually end out helping them in the end... how weird is that?

If both your posts in this thread you've done nothing but try to attack the credibility of the thread starter or other posters. Clearly this has to be an indication that you don't have an excuse for Obama's obvious forked tongue platform.
For the candidate that has tried to champion himself as a breath of fresh air, as someone above the petty political games, Obama sure has shown his true colors as of late.

I'm just glad the media (well, with the exception of MSNBC), has finally started to treat Obama like a politician. I think the vetting process gets extreme sometimes, but it is about time he stopped getting only softballs.

He didn't lie. His Campaign Aid responded to the Canadians without his knowledge.
