Gov. Paterson Inagural Address

His speech was absolutely wonderful. There may be hope for NY after all. Go David! Go!!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZl5JgRe_1s

"We don't know the path yet, but that's because we haven't blazed the trail, and I think you all know, that I know a little bit about finding one's way through the dark."

^^His wit is so refreshing!^^

"Let me reintroduce myself, I am David Paterson and I am the Governor of New York State!"

^^Allow him to reintroduce himself lol He better let 'em know what it truly is^^

I don't know anything about his politics, but I find him personally pretty impressive.

And he just admitted to an affair. One his wife knows about and their relationship has survived. Interesting.

More power to him and the Mrs. for dealing with that chapter in their lives. Sometimes I wonder why some folks bother with marriage in the first place ::shrug::

I heard somewhere that he has admitted to cheating on his wife multiple times. Not much of a change, but as long as he doesn't break any laws then I suppose its okay.

Gov. David A. Paterson Tuesday admitted to adultery with multiple women while serving in the Senate -- including a state employee now working in the governor's office -- though experts doubt he would be forced to resign.
Um yeah, something about that just doesn't sit right with me. I was impressed by him before all of this though. And yes, it IS his personal life, but realistically personal beliefs are the values politicians work from. So yeah, I question this guy's integrity, b/c it seems like another shady politician to me. "Multiple affairs" is hardly one err in judgment.

I am not sure, but did he not admit Both He and Wife were in affairs together?

I think that may be called a threesome.

Is he any better?

Cheating on ones spouse shows a complete lack of morals and character, I would certainly take that into consideration when voting.

Let he/she who is without sin cast the first stone. I'm pretty sure if somebody dug deep enough we'd find out a plethora of "dirty laundry" about each and every person who holds some weight in politics. Money will shut plenty of mouths and it will also open up just as many. If these indiscretions hadn't hit the fan then we'd be none the wiser and we'd go around believing half the people in positions of power were "honest/trustworthy" and that we live in a world of cotton candy and rainbows.

For all we know, Paterson and his wife could be swingers on a mission  I don't, by any means, agree with his actions, but I also refuse to hold them against him as a person.
