Atlanta Traffic Question
Hello Sorors and everyone,
I bit the bullet and moved back to Atl to be closer to family. It has been nice spending time with my niece and having the better real estate pricing but since I moved from Buckhead, the commute into downtown in the mornings is k-i-l-l-i-n-g me. Did I mention the commute was killing me? I tried to stay inside the perimeter but the price points for the stuff that I liked was more than I was willing to fork over. So I went out to Cascade like so many. And now, I'm s-u-f-f-e-r-i-n-g with traffic in the mornings.
Can anyone offer suggestions to reduce commute time?
I have recently moved to the Sandtown area near Campbellton Road and Camp Creek Parkway in SW Atlanta.
I am seeking information on the best routes to take into downtown in the morning.
I have tried taking Campbellton Road east to 166 to 85N.
I have tried Fulton Indust. to 20 to 85N.
I have tried Boat Rock Rd. to New Hope Rd. to Cascade Rd. to 285 N to 20 to 85N.
The best commute time so far has been 45 minutes. Usually, it is longer. I leave around 7a.m. but am able to leave earlier if that would shorten commute time.
Any recommendations?
I am even thinking of taking side streets all the way into downtown if it would make the commute time shorter.
If you recommend that I leave earlier, what time is good?
