Diamond Days... sort of

Hello ladies!

Diamond Days for our chapter were this week and while I wish I could say they were fabulous and that I am a Delta sister, I ended up getting really sick on Monday afternoon and missing the events all week! Of course I would be the one to be ill and miss my initiation

I am really disappointed that I didn't get to experience Diamond Days with the rest of my pledge class, but these sort of things are obviously out of my control. I am very happy for all of them on their initiation, and I will be going through on my own at some point in the next few weeks.

Best wishes to all my fellow Alphas on GC for their Diamond Days in the next few weeks and healthiness vibes for all!

I'm sorry to hear that you were sick for your own initiation! I have that same luck. I wasn't feeling to well for mine, either. Get well soon, and I hope you enjoy your diamond days!!

Will there be another initiation before the end of the term? We only did it twice a year (a gazillion years ago!), and I soldiered through mine, but passed out during it. A rather common occurance, I hear.

Tiny - I am so sorry to hear you missed your initiation because of an illness! It's never fun being sick, esp. on really important days!

Will your chapter be holding a seperate initation for you?

There was a girl in my Alpha class who couldn't initiate with our class because she had to briefly leave town for a few days because of a family emergency. We held an initation for her during Spirit Week before Fall Recruitment (I was a Spring Baby Lion

)

Thanks- I think they are going to try to initiate me next week so I don't have to wait until the next Alpha class goes through (in about 2 months) but I haven't heard back for sure yet. It is frustrating that this happened and to be the only Alpha left out of my pledge class, but the chapter has been supportive about it and I am excited to hopefully be initiated soon. The same thing happened to a girl a few years ago in our chapter as well. Hope you're all having a wonderful week!

Diamond days for me start today, so I will be initiated this week =) I am so excited for this week and to finally be initiated! Hopefully this week will go a bit smoother than the last try... thanks so much for all the support ladies! Fingers crossed there will be no major crises this time around ;-)

TinyDancer, I'm so excited for you!!!

We just had initiation week last week, so watching our Alphas go through made me think of my own initiation. Just wait until you're a Delta (!!!) doing Diamond Days; it is so special.
