VST Email
Hey Ladies... is there a secret to getting VST to read their VST emails? I mean does the VST email system send alerts to another email address or does it just rely on you checking the box?

one has to actually check the website. We've been asked not to forward emails to another address - it supposedly messes up the system.
Unfortunately, some are better at checking email than others.
If you know a non vst email address, it wouldn't hurt to try it. I still get VST email in multiple places - including personal email address.

keep trying
Depending on how long you've awaited a response, you might resort to contacting that sister's supervisor (I can't imagine that you're talking about a member of IC, so we'll presume she has a supervisor!). I know of at least one instance where that was all it took.

Please do contact the supervisor if you haven't heard from them within a few days or a week. The supervisor needs to know if someone isn't checking email regularly or isn't functioning and sometimes they don't find out for a couple months. Then all of a sudden they hear "We haven't heard from so and so in months". The sooner the supervisor knows, the better.
ETA: I can also attest to the fact that Imail isn't the most reliable thing in the world. I've had several important emails go to my Spam folder there and if I wasn't paying attention, I might not have noticed that right away.

Thanks I'll try that!

Okay so I still haven't heard anything from my HA-S and I also wrote the PD for the area and they haven't gotten back with me. What gives? Could my emails be going to junk mail? Or are they just not replying to me? Is there no secondary notice sent to their personal email addresses, like GC or Facebook does?

Hate to tell you this, but go to the next level. Talk to the Area Coordinator and the DHA, forwarding the email you sent to the PD and HA-S.
The other thing would be to call the person you need to talk to.
I'm not convinced the VST email is working as anticipated. I'm curious to see what happens after this year's test.

AFAIK, no secondary notices are sent to our personal email addresses. At least I haven't gotten any! Sometimes I do notice messages that AREN'T spam going into my spam folder, but I always know when they do because the system lets me know how many messages are in that spam folder.
Because VST has to go in and check their I-mail, sometimes its easy to forget to go look at it. I know sometimes I have forgotten about it and a few days will go by without my looking. So its just possible that your VST members are forgetting to regularly check it. I agree with the others, either call or go up one level. Good luck!

Also, if you're in Area D or E, I think your HAS might be in Florida this month.

Thanks for all the help... I don't want to go a level up because I understand that you forget to check it and all but nothing in the whole month of Feb??? It is okay now, I found the information that I needed but it just concerns me that I still haven't heard back from either person.
I think that the I-mail is a good idea because officers change, but maybe IHQ could add the secondary notice idea this next go around.
