Summer plans...
What does everyone plan on doing this summer?
I am trying to get a job at the Department of Social Services and buying my first car.

I'm going to Norway for 3 weeks a few days after I graduate. We have family over there and we do some tourist-type stuff. Then I'm going to be a Norwegian camp counselor back here in CA. Thennn my bf and I are going on a road trip to Chicago! We're planning on stopping at Kappa houses along the way if they're close. I know they might be empty, but I still want to take a picture in front of them and check out the campus. Haha I'm such a nerd.

Sitting at the lake house. That's about it.

Pick up extra shifts at the restaurant when school lets out.
Renting a beach house on the Outer Banks with my brother's family. We'll be there for a week in July. I love OBX. Figuring out how I can move there permanently.

Decorate my second cousin's wedding.
Go to the wedding.
Take 2 summer courses.
Possibly go to Russia with my sister when she adopts a baby.
Relax at a health spa for a couple weeks.
Get ready for the fall semester.

Mostly working, with some law school stuff (TA position and major research paper) worked in. Three of my friends are getting married (two from college and one from law school), so I'll be going to their weddings as well.
Other than the weddings, I don't think I'll get much of a break this summer. I was hoping to get away for a few days for vacation, but that's probably not going to be feasible with my schedule. I'll just have to wait until after the bar exam in February.

I am being a totally irresponsible Mom by taking two mini-vacations without my kids. I'm spending a weekend with DoctorD at a beach house for a single mom girls' weekend. I'm also going to spend a long weekend with friends who live in Albany, KY and have a houseboat on Dale Hollow Lake. A whole weekend of hanging out on a boat, swimming, fishing, and, what we call "unlaxing" because it's far beyond RElaxing in one of the most beautiful places on earth I am hoping to plan a long weekend with the kids too. My vacation time has been cut by two days so that is kind of limiting us. We may have to wait until February to go to my brother's condo in Gulf Shores, AL, but I do hope to take them there.

As for me, same thing I do the rest of the year.

Going to Canada in the early part, then Kentucky. Moving back home. Thinking about going to Barcelona with an ls, but I am not sure how that will work out.

I have an internship with Senator John Kerry's D.C. office, so I should be doing that.
Besides that, I plan to visit my friends in Boston, spend some time at my friend's country house, and work a bit at my dad's office to make some extra money.
