Rush Skits

I am a sister of the Lambda Zeta chapter and also the rush director this year. I am in need of ideas for skits and themes for this upcoming Fall rush. If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.

Hey! THis is Kerimarie of Delta Beta! For first invite we are doing TRL (as part of Phi MTV) WE are doing the songs with the break ins and that kind of stuff. I have heard of another house doing like commercials and stuff...i got words to a really cute version of the Gap Mellow Yellow....in years past we have always done band stand...so hopefully this TRL will go over well!

I know this post is really late, and you've probably already gone through formal rush...but for others, or for next year...

Phi Mu Bandstand is the skit we use at Phi Kappa. It's a survey of songs from the 50's to today with the lyrics changed to be about Phi Mu. The songs in the script are:

50s Sugar Pie, Honeybunch
50s/60s Respect
60s Soul Man
70s Stayin' Alive, I Want You Back
80s We've Got the Beat
90s Mr Vain

But we've updated it and changed some of the songs. For the 80s last year we used Love Shack, but this year the girls wrote up words to Vogue, and it was really hot, they did Madonna's dance and everything.

The 90s we used Aerosmith's Pink, and wore pink cowboy hats....

And then last year we ended with Natalie Merchant's These Are Days

We didsmething similar to this my Soph. year for 70's we did I Will Survive and the words were so cute. And 80's we did Footloose and it was sooo cute too. And the we did Britney's version of "I Love Rock & Roll" and said "You'll Love Phi Mu"

But now we do like "Phi Mu Divas Live" kinda like Vh1 Divas live... And we used a Janet Jackson Song we used All 4 |You one year and Escapade another & they were both cute. Then we still did a britney song. Basically a bunch of girly songs....

i would love to get a copy of the rush skits from the different decades....we are changing skits this fall and i would love to do that one! it sounds like so much fun! is there any way I could get copies of the songs and skits?

When I went through recruitment, the skit they did was a Dirty Dancing theme.. i don't really know how to explain it.. but it was really goofy and I enjoyed it alot.
