Here's a letter from our Chapter Advisor- Marybeth Levine.
For those of you who don't know, AB recolonized in 2001 and it's been an uphill struggle... All of us who were involved with recruitment this year almost died of joy yesterday evening...
Please let me know if you want to contact the chapter directly!!!

Subject: because I just can't dial the phone anymore...
…and I'm about to go hoarse. I'm sending this to everyone,
including past advisors, others who I know are interested in the
chapter and everyone I've already called because I want everyone to
have the numbers, in writing, in front of them. And the news bears
repeating.
Pref was last night and I thought you all would want to know the
results, Chris Kulka actually came to my house, which at first made
my stomach flip thinking it might be REALLY bad news, but then when
she told me, I started shaking and crying and had to sit down for a
GOOD reason --- Alpha Beta got 36 women in formal recruitment this
year. THIRTY-SIX. 14 last year, 12 the year before that, 9 the
year before that, they got 36 this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With the NM class, the chapter now has 87 members. Quota was 53, so
they're only 17 off quota (and another house didn't make quota, is
somewhere in the 40s, so AB's only a handful of NMs away from that
chapter vs. they were about 30 away from the next smallest pledge
class last year). With a good spring class, the chapter could
definitely hit quota this year. QUOTA!!! If that happens, the
chapter will be over 100, so less than 20 away from campus total.
TOTAL!!!! If they initiate 100% (or close to it, worst case) and
end the year with over 100 active members, there are currently only
17 seniors graduating, so the chapter could come back at or above 80
members for formal recruitment next year. Aaaaggghhh!!!!!!
It's a good, good, good day and I feel like I'm finally going to get
a really GOOD night's sleep tonight.

The girls are flipping out
and screaming and crying and have a GREAT time with the news, Bid
Day is tomorrow (so they'll know WHO they actually got, but we know
no matter what they're all going to be phenomenal because all of the
girls at Pref were phenomenal), they are going to have a BALL. And
I just couldn't be happier for them or prouder of them.
Just wanted you all to know and enjoy the news! AB's on a
roll!!!!!!! **doing the happy dance** Loyally, Marybeth
