Beta Brotherhood Activities
We are all former or current members on Beta, so I thought it would be a good idea to share some of the brotherhood activities that our chapters have/had. I have found that the inter-chapter communication has given us great ideas in the past and I thought now would be a good time to tap the experience of other brothers.
Some of our activities are:
Camping – We take the pledges and actives to some local campground and spend Friday and most of Saturday hiking, socializing, and doing those leadership activities that they teach you at futures quest
Broomball – We rent out an ice rink and run around in our shoes with sticks trying to score goals on the other team.
Beta Off-Road Club – New to our chapter, those of us with 4WD vehicles go off and drive around at an off road parks. As mentioned in another post bumper stickers pending
Beta Quest – Basically a city wide scavenge hunt in which a pledge and an active have to go take pictures at specific locations that represent something Beta. Example: I took a picture in front of a Nordstrom to represent one of the nine goals.
Pledge/Active Football – We play the pledges in a game of touch football every Friday, helping bond the pledges and practice for greek week.
I will have you know that all of these activities are 100 percent alcohol free.
Thanks for sharing
Gary
