No More Court TV
Goodbye Court TV, Hello TruTV!
TruTV's identity will be fast-moving programming that tells real stories about real people. There's such a glut of reality programming with a wide range of styles that truTV is making an explicit point of rejecting the term.
TruTV isn't reality, its new slogan states. It's actuality.

I will miss CourtTV, but I just thought the name would change while the channel stays the same. Commercials I have seen for TruTV looks the same as CourtTV. I don't know. Anyway, I think "TruTV" sounds kinda corny for a channel name. I will still watch it. I am not very fond of reality tv, but I like this channel. ...probably because it is "actuality". haha

The new name reminds me of "Brian Griffin in TRU - The Truman Capote Story." LOL I would definitely watch that channel.
So many of the channels have ODed on reality and don't fit their names anymore - Arts & Entertainment? The Learning Channel? Why does Biography Channel have Hercule Poirot mysteries on approx 20 hours a day? I think Court TV is just doing this so everyone won't get on their case for having things other than trials on the channel.

Well I always thought that CourtTV did pretty well with staying true to the channel name. I was even okay with their beach versions of "Cops". I just always thought of it as a channel that was about justice being done. Maybe they should call it JusticeTV. haha

I love court TV, I'm afraid that it will turn into the top 10 MOST AMAZING VIDEO'S WHERE PEOPLE GET BEHEADED!!! WAHHHHH
That to me is obnoxious.
I really really like forensic files and FBI files though, I hope they stay on.

Loved court tv. Recall when Star jones started on there when she was reporting on the OJ trial.
I loved watching real trial cases.
Yet another channel fav bites the dust!
