Cool Homemade Soap

Lately, I've been on a homemade soap kick. I've been looking around on the web to see what kinds of homemade soaps there are. Anyone try or make homemade soap? What's your favorite kind?

I have been on this same kick. I ordered 7 different scents of homemade goats milk soap on ebay. I like the way it makes my skin feel, but it leaves a film on me that must be rinsed off.

I may try making my own soap, but not right now. I'm way too busy.

There are a few different types of soap you can make...I've seen goat's milk, cow's milk, glycerine, and other bases with different types of scents you can ad. Go to yahoo and type "soap making" and there are tons of links. I couldn't believe that there is one step in the process that is actually dangerous (dealing with lye)!

If you can believe it--when I was in high school chemistry, we made soap INCLUDING the step with lye!!! Can you imagine that being allowed now?!!!!

Wish I could learn to make soap! (when I have the time)

Try this long list of soapmaker shops: http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Ec...Soap/Handmade/

also, there are tons of listings on ebay!
