Ignore it.

Sisterhood isn't limited to your years in college. Visit your HQ's website. There should be pics of alumnae wearing letters.

I highly doubt any national organization has this rule.
And if that is a rule of your chapter, it won’t really matter. Once you graduate, you don’t have to follow your collegiate by-laws. There aren’t any consequences to face if you don’t follow this rule, so it's irrelevant.

But it's completely uninforceable, unless the chapter wants to terminate you through the national headquarters so you are no longer an alum.

You may feel less comfortable wearing your letters daily in a more professional, adult life but usually there is not a rule against it. As a 30-something I personally feel more comfortable wearing my organizations symbols instead of letters.

oh, if you don't go there, forget my statement.
There is no such rule. Alums can wear letters whenever they want.

I've seen alums over fifty years old wearing letters. Not commonly, but I've seen it. Alums are definately allowed to wear letters, I just don't think they do it anywhere as near as much as collegiates.

I do it on rare occasions, like if I go back to visit for a special weekend or something.

That's false. You most certainly can wear your letters after graduation. I'm in grad school and still wear mine (though probably not as often as I did in undergrad).

I wear mine. I sometimes still get asked where I "go" to school. Heehee. It feels as good as getting carded!

Two of the hardest-working alumnae in our association met because one of them was wearing her letters. They were both in their forties, and were next door neighbors!
 Wear your letters with pride.

Ladies: NPC has badge day in March and ALL are encouraged to wear their badges that day. I still do it and I'm 62! So, yes, you can wear your letters.
