Can you place the state?
In response to PM_Mama00's comment in the 2007-2008 NCAA football thread, here's something to help pass the time at work:
Place the US States
Don't forget to report your score!
ETA: I scored 86%, with an average error of 34 miles, in 329 seconds.
ETalsoA: Well pooh on all y'all. You and your 90-100 scores. In my defense, I did have a toddler and a dog pawing at me the whole time. Yeah, that's it, my dog hit my hand, causing me to accidentally put Connecticut in Pennsylvania. And who cares about Maryland anyway.
EAgainTA: Practice (and lack of distraction) obviously helps. 96%, 8 miles, 229 seconds

Reason: reported my score, then blamed my dog for said score

92%
Avg Error 14 miles.
I'm saying that two of them don't count though - you can't give me Arkansas first and then follow up with Rhode Island. There's nothing to go on.

Yeah, I got Nevada first and then Kentucky next. Getting coastal states at the beginning really helps.

Well, Rhode Island does have a ( very, very small) coastline.

I wanna know Miss South Carolina's score!
Miss Teen USA pageant 2007
During the Final Question round, one of the judges asked Miss South Carolina, Lauren Caitlin Upton, why she thought a fifth of Americans are unable to locate the United States on a world map. Upton's response was:
"I personally believe that, U.S. Americans are unable to do so, because some… people out there in our nation that don’t have maps, and I believe that our education, like such as in South Africa and the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should… our education over here in the U.S., should help the U.S., er, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future.., for our children... "

95%, 8 miles and 153 seconds.
I put Hawaii on first very lazily, and it was "off" so that was one. Then my second state was Colorado and it was BARELY off, I couldn't believe it. But oh well. That was fun.
