Lightbulb Mother's Day

I was wondering what are some good Mother's Day gifts. This afternoon i was looking at giving my mom a Day Spa gift certificate, but those are pricey. The cheapest one i found was $180. I dont know if thats what i want to give her though. Any one have any good ideas?

Mother's Day is May 13th, and my dad's bday is May 14th. So we are going out to dinner to celebrate both, and then the following Friday we are throwing my dad a SURPRISE bday, it will for sure throw him off!! But remember, its a secret, so shhh!

Talking

My mom can be pretty sentimental, so small things with a lot of personal meaning always go over well with her! We are also pretty close (in a weird, unexplainable way). One year I bought a picture frame..on the front outside it says "Mothers and Daughters"... on the inside is a place for a photo and on the opposite inside it says "Special Memories"... I wrote down all kinds of memories and "inside" jokes of ours. Then we went out and took a picture just for that frame. You can do something like this or a scrapbook.. something along the same lines.

It's fairly easy and inexpensive, but will be something she'll remember.

Although, I love the Day Spa idea... mom's defnately deserve those kinds of treats! (Do you have any siblings that would split the cost with you?)

Good luck! I'm sure she'll love whatever you give her.

Hey bucutie02,
I got my mom a Spa thing last year, however, instead of the whole day at the spa treatment, I just got her a pedicure and manicure gift certificate. She loved it cuz she loves having her feet massaged and stuff So maybe if you can't really afford the Day at the Spa, maybe get her like a facial and manicure or a combo of some things. Or maybe even just a massage...massages are definitely worthwhile
Other ideas...jewelry, clothing, something for the house (a painting, vase, etc), something engraved, miniatures/collectibles (maybe if your mom doesn't collect stuff, you can start her off w/ collecting something like little dolls, etc. My mom collects mini clocks...they're so cute!), hmmm, or anything personalized. Parents are so hard to shop for sometimes. I know shopping for my mom is so difficult cuz she owns everything!! But I hope that sparked some ideas for ya.
