Hello, just wanted to say hello the beautiful ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha. I recently graduated Temple University last August and am trying to pursue AKA grad chapter. I was first introduced to AKA when I attended a step show at FAMU a few yrs ago and immediately noticed the "classiness" that they portrayed. I've noticed over the yrs that AKA's are stereotyped to be "stuck up" and that peeked my curiousity even more; what I have found is that
the sister's are just proud of their accomplishments and truly support each other, which as far as African American women are concerned, is something that does not happen often (I'm sure most of ya'll know what I mean by that). I didn't get to pursue pledging in undergrad because I had alot of things going on at the time, but now that I have my degree and am set in my career, I have been researching local grad chapters. Some of my best guy friends are Sigma's, so of course they are trying to pursuade me away from AKA (as if thats possible

), but my heart is and will forever be with Alpha Kappa Alpha; I would never even consider inquiring into any other sororities. As I continue to search for events and meetings to attend, I would greatly appreciate any advice or guidance, especially if anyone has any info or is looking into any of the grad chapters in the Philly/South Jersey area. God Bless.
