Omega Astronaut to Speak at U of M
Invited Lecture by NASA Deputy Administrator
Frederick D. Gregory
Frederick D. Gregory is the Deputy Administrator of NASA. He serves as
chief operating officer for the agency and reports directly to NASA’s
Administrator. Mr. Gregory has received such awards as the National
Society of Black Engineers Distinguished National Science Award and
logged 455 hours in space as an astronaut.
When: Monday February 24, 2004

Kudos to your fraternity brother!
It seems that Omega Psi Phi has being an astronaut on lock. LOL Haven't you had other famous astronauts as members as well (Mr. Guy Bluford - RIP) comes to mind. Apparently he was the first Black man in space. Kudos to Omega Psi Phi!

Yes, we had four famous astronauts.
Robert H. Lawrence - Astronaut, died in training 1967.
Ronald McNair - Astronaut, Challenger, 1986.
Fredrick Drew Gregory - Astronaut, Deputy Administrator of NASA. Nephew of Dr. Charles R. Drew.
Charles F. Bolden - Astronaut and 3-star general.

As well as Ronald McNair, who graduated from MY alma mater, North Carolina A & T State University!

*ETA: Apologize for repeating info in the above post. I was in the middle of posting and trying to find out if Ronald McNair pledged Mu Psi at A & T and couldn't find the info; hence the repeat.

In a roundabout way, I just learned about Robert H. Lawrence on Wikipedia! Extremely impressive bio.
