Planet Fitness

I couldn't find anything on this so my question is, have any of y'all ever used Planet Fitness? There's one opening up in the near future near my apartment and I was thinking about joining. What's the atmosphere like? All I can find are their websites and talking about some dude who was expelled for grunting when working out.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

I've been going to Planet Fitness in my area for over 2 years now. I love it. The staff is pretty helpful. They do however have a fairly strict 'no dropping the weights' policy, which is pretty standard at most gyms.

Say whaaaa? Was this guy doing "normal grunting" or was he doing a full-on "Monica Seles-styled" grunt?

The dude claims it was normal, but it appears they don't want to intimidate regular people there. I just want to meet more people& it's convenient.

Ditto, except I've been going for about 6 months. But I love it, very convenient for me.

You're a muscular female bodybuilder right? How would you feel if you couldn't grunt when you did a deadlift with over 600 pounds? I'd hate it.
