Question to APhi's

I am not an APhi yet. I go through formal recruitment this spring. I'm really interested in Alpha Phi because my cousin is one at the same college i go to. Her brother's girlfriend is an alum APhi at the same school. I'm trying to go through recruitment with an open mind however with family in Aphi and meeting some of the girls, I really think this is what I want. Does anyone know if being related to one of the girls helps me? Shes a senior and we go to a large mid atlantic school.

Officially you are not a legacy of Alpha Phi, so my advice is to make sure you meet other sisters besides your cousin - and (not that you would) but avoid giving the vibe of "I know my cousin so I know I am getting in here"

Finally - be positive and give all the chapters a chance. You know a lot about Alpha Phi but you may also find another chapter you love just as much!

I think this is the best advice. Don't expect to get into Alpha Phi just because you have family in it...that isn't a guaranteed "in" Just keep an open mind and have fun!!
