The end of an era has come with the passing, at age 96, of the inventor of ramen noodles, a staple of college students everywhere.

It was my poor-grad-student diet at the University of Hawaii. Shrimp flavor.

Sad.
I really like ramen, too. I will have some for lunch tomorrow in his honor. I like to mix a little hoisin sauce in mine.

I skip the flavor packet and just put butter and parmesan cheese on mine.. or spaghetti sauce for a very quick spaghetti. I still love Ramen noodles. RIP

Ugh, I tried but I couldn't. Shrimp, puke.
Try this; beef ramen with steak seasoning.
Also, I pour most of the water out so I get more flavour and less drip. God I love ramen.

Chicken mushroom flavor, drain the water, add butter, italian seasoning, mushrooms and parmesan. Yum.
RIP.

So I walked into a co-worker's cubicle today and see two cases of Ramen sitting on her chair. I say "You know the guy who invented those died this weekend?" She laughs and says "Is this a setup for a punchline?" and I said "No! He really did die this weekend". Then she tells me that she has two cases of them because her daughter asked for them for Christmas and nobody got them for her, but then another co-worker saw them on sale.. 2 cases for $4, so she picked them up for the gal's daughter. The daughter is 6 years old and asked for Ramen noodles for Christmas.. what a hoot!
