TV Shows on DVD
Has anyone ever bought a set of a TV show, and had one episode conspicuous in its absence?
While I've had it for a few years, I finally got a chance to watch the first year of ER this weekend (well, the first disc). The pilot is NOT included!!
Fans of ER will know how important the pilot was to understanding the concept - I was disappointed beyond belief!
Before I get any more of these, I wanted to know - has happened to anyone else?

Yes!!! Only 2/3 of the entire run (7 seasons) will be availbe on DVD and they are already out. No "fire" episodes, as is revealed in special features, they were destroyed on the order of someone at MTV!! Stupid Network Execs, could have just sealed them up. DVD sets weren't for sale yet then, but "Too Hot For TV" VHS tapes were all the rage!!

It's not the first episode on the disc? Or actually if they broke it down into a two parter the suicide would be on the second episode.

No, it's not on the first or second discs. I'm really hoping that it's under "Special Features" or something like that - because the plot really sucked you in like a hoover!!

I really liked the show ED that was on NBC a few years back. But I guess that show was not popular enough to have its on DVD.
Ok I admit. I never watched it on NBC. I only caught the reruns on TBS

honeychile, are you sure you have a season one dvd as opposed to 'select episodes' of season one? I know they do those kind with Friends and Sex and the City.

I discovered that late last night! Which explains my exhaustion this morning... What do they say? Exhausted but happy?
