Question Behavior on GC

So, I was just wondering what people thought about various people act on the boards? I constantly see other people act extremely mean/rude in other threads...

For me personally, I censor myself because I know that I not only have KD in my user name, but also my signature and I want to respresent the organization well. Moreover, the more I grow up the more I appreciate the idea of Ta Kala Diokomen and I really try and live by that.

But yeah, what does everyone think about people who come on GC and don't exactly rep their GLO's very well?

There's only a few members that I think are rude on here. From what I've seen they seem to be the older jokers. Most of them don't represent their GLOs though.

Who the hell cares?

If you want to represent your organization and motto well, then whoopdefreakingdoo for you. You have no right to judge people just because you don't think they're representing their organization well. Let their own members and the moderators worry about it and call them on it.

Bottom line: just mind your own business.

If you don't like what and how things are being said here, then there's the door. I'm sure we won't miss your 90394530842934234 new threads about television shows.

Maybe instead of worrying about how people act on GreekChat, you should put more focus on people who continue to perp your organization. Oh wait...

Well, KDAngel, there's your answer. I guess she broke it down for you.

If you don't like someone on a message board, what are you going to do about it?

Unless someone is advocating illegal activities, revealing ritual or something similar, there's nothing you or anyone can do about it. Unless you thinking about calling out a sister publicly - like you did with me with the KDLady00 situation. You called me out publicly, which looks even worse for a sorority than what you're talking about. Particularly when HQ verified several times that she was not a member. Despite HQ's verification, you continued to publicly call me out and keep her as a friend on your myspace. To me, that's much worse and not at all in line with the principles of the KD. It's not representing KD well to fly in the face of what HQ said and continue to befriend and support someone who was faking being a member of our org

Bottom line is if you don't like something or someone, then don't talk to them. There's not much else you can do.

I wasn't really asking if someone should do anything about it or not. Unless something was absolutely horrible I wouldn't think to do anything (lesson learned). It was just a "what's your opinion" question.

Maybe it's more of a question for people who are in school still or just getting out...

...and we gave you our opinion.

Why would the opinion of collegians/recent grads be any different from that of an alumna? A member's a member. But you probably threw in that last part to save your ass for starting a thread like this.

There aren't letters in my signature and I never bring up my sorority. I'd say the same stuff I say even if there were letters. As far as I am concerned, if you act like a dumbass, you're going to be mocked.
Some people need to grow a thick internet skin. I am not nice, I am sarcastic and mean with a horribly dry sense of humour. I didn't hide that during my recruitment and my sorority gave me a bid so obviously my sisters are okay with it.
I'm not a fan of lying down and letting someone ask stupid questions. It's been said a dozen times-this isn't happy ponies and sunshine land. I don't see why I should act differently on GC than I do anywhere else on the internet.

Word.

OP: I put my sorority in my signature because I am not ashamed of the things I say, and I'm certainly not ashamed of my letters. My sorority sisters loved my sarcastic sense of humor and I was far from the snarkiest in my pledge class.

I'm curious as to who you think doesn't rep their GLO very well. You must have some people in mind. Don't pussyfoot around it, now that you've put it out there you might as well say everything.
