Probably the most famous movie every made featuring MIT students (I kid, I kid!) is comign out soon. Saw the trailer for 21 a few days ago and i was pretty impressed. There was plenty of buzz based around the book it was based on (bringing down the house - not steve martin related) and the trailer looks pretty damn interesting.
THe book's been out for many years and it's supposedly great! I'm disappointed they seem to be going for a sexy, flashy, "action" feel with the movie. I think I'd be more interested if it was a serious, clever and interesting drama.
Kevin Spacey is outstanding, and sturgess (the main character) was great in across the universe. I fully realize hollywood isnt in the business of making documentaries and has to embellish certain things, but if they keep the essence of the story (which it certainly seems to me they did) i think it will work very well.
