Question about some of your organizations terms

Ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho,

I'm a long time GCer, and as part of my final sociology project in order graduate, I'm conducting a content analysis of fraternity and sorority magazines. I chose to use the Aurora of Sigma Gamma Rho, namely out of convenience (it's the only NPHC sorority magazine online), but after reading through your magazine several times, I have some questions. I would be appreciative of any help that I could get from you wonderful ladies.

First I wanted to make sure that any chapter name that ended with Sigma was an alumnae chapter, or at least not an undergraduate chapter. Is this true?

Second, the Rhoer groups are affiliate programs for High schoolers, right?

Third, what exactly are the Philos groups?

I must say that after reading through this issue of the Aurora, I am blown away by the amount of work done by your organization for the community, particularly from the alumnae groups. Nothing like that sort of commitment is shown by the alumni of my organization, Beta Theta Pi. You all deserve to be commended for your work.

Again thank you in advance for you help, it will really be of benefit to my project.

Interfraternally,

Geoff Mickells
