Doggy Prayer
I just found out from my mom that we might have to put our dog to sleep. He's been acting funny lately and my mom said that if he doesn't snap out of the funk he's in she's gonna take him to the vet next week. And we all know what that means...
So I was wondering - as silly as this sounds - if you could all say a little prayer for my little doggy Fozzy.
He's 15 years old, practically deaf, almost blind, stinks like none other...but he's still my doggy.

I have a teenie tiny white toy poodle. Her name is Pistache (french for peanut) and I love her dearly. I have never seen anything like the unconditional love of a dog for its owner. Everytime I look into her trusting eyes and her patience it blows me away that God could give us such a wonderful gift.
I will pray for you dog, Amy.

Though I've never had a pet of my own, I became really close to my Lika, my BF's siberian husky...who's a 110 lbs, 13 years old, and practically deaf. Even though he likes to grab my wrist with his mouth when he's hungry, I still think he's the cutest...especially when he wants me to rub his belly (bellies?)...and how he likes to snuggle in my suitcase...the list goes on and on.
I miss Lika every day because he's in California and we're in Hawaii. I'm so sorry to hear about your doggy, and I'll pray for him!

Amy,
I'm sorry to hear about your dog. I said a prayer for Fozzy. I hope he snaps out of it. I know its hard, hes probably lived a long and wonderful dog life My parents had a yorkie(Cubby) that we got in okinawa back in 78 I think. I was in the first grade and he stayed with us until my senior year of hs. I graduated in 90. He was going through a similar deal that Fozzy is going through now and it was definitely hard when I had to give him away to the vet. Anyways, I hope everything works out with Fozzy
My parents have this one year old jack russell we named Teddy. He bonded with me immediately when we got him from the breeder and we have been inseperable ever since.(for a year now). He acts like a doberman but hes really a little guy(has that terrier behavior). We have him on this invisible fence collar and he loves running around and insiting other dogs that walk down the street *L* Recently hes had to wear this huge Elizabethan like hood(looks like a bonnet in a way) because 2 weeks ago he developed this problem with biting his tail. We've havent been able to make heads or tails of it. Hes better though now and on those antibiotics, plus if you can believe it, a Obssessive Compulsive pill. *L* I'm not sure if that works or is a quack but whatever works to make him better

Im so sorry to hear about your dog! I had a cute golden retrevier that my parents bought for me when I was thirteen. She suddenly got very sick two years ago, and I was on my way home to San Francisco to pick her and bring her to davis (one of the best vet clinics in the nation) when she died.
I was very said, especially because I hadnt seen her in a whle. Keep in mind though if it is nothing the vets can fix, your dog will be happier when she doesnt have to deal with the pain. Not sure if that helps, but I will pray for her.

Fozzy's health, unfortunately, has not improved. He cannot even jump onto the bed to lay with our other dog. He just sits there and begs to get onto the bed until someone places him on it.
But he can somehow manage to sleep in our laundry basket...which was where I found him this morning. He was so still I almost thought he was dead. I dunno what his problem is, but I know that when his time comes he'll be in doggy heaven.
But thank you all for your prayers. I just want him to be better...and not suffer if he is.
Amy
