Pray for a sister

Hi there. I do not know if you saw the post I made with the general forums, but I figured I ought to post it here as well. I am a Theta, but tonight I attended a prayer service. The service was for one of the Gamma Phi's from the chapter here at my school. She has been missing since yesterday afternoon. She is missed by her sisters, friends, family...Even though I do not know her, the situation still affects me, and everyone. It is so very scary to think that anyone can get abducted, kidnapped, raped, etc...anywhere at anytime. Something can even happen in the middle of the day while walking to class or to your car in a crowded parking lot...
Please pray for one of your Gamma Phi Beta sisters!

I saw the story on Good Morning America today and my thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

I just e-mailed several hundred Phi Psis to let them know about this. I asked them to keep Dru Sjodin, her family, and her chapter sisters in their prayers.

I read the story today, and I just wanted to let you know that I, am keeping your sister in my heart and prayers, along with so many other people across the nation.

I hope she is returned home safe and sound, and very soon.

The sisters of Sigma Sigma Sigma are praying for Dru and her safe return. It is sad to see anything like this happen and it is affecting our Greek System here in Mankato, MN. The GPB's have handed out pink ribbons and girls from our chapter who know Dru personally have went to Grand Forks to help with the search. Lets all be thinking of Dru and the sisters of GPB at NDSU.

If anyone isn't following the main thread in Greek Life, a Level 3 sex offender was arrested today and will be charged with kidnapping in conjuction to the Dru case. Let's all hope that she's out there safe and sound and will come home to her family friends, and sisters soon!

As the last post said, they did arrest a man. Nothing more than some information about him has been released yet. There is a press conference today (Tuesday) at 11 am CDT. Unfortunately, I have class at 11, so I will not be able to post any updates as I'm sure others will get to it first...Prayers are with Dru and her family and friends. It's tough walking around the UND campus and seeing everything happening and hearing about it. There are posters up all over campus, and a several of the Greek houses have hung banners outside since Dru's disappearance. Keep praying and don't give up hope yet!

Press conference today didn't really say much...but like russellwarshay pointed out, all he's been charge with is kidnapping, and that's good news.

I so hope Dru shows up ALIVE...and soon. I noticed on the CNN stories that the Gamma Phi Beta House at UND was highlighted with the painted windows.

I am praying for her and her family.

I just wanted to post my own concern about Dru on your message board. She's in my prayers, as are her biological and GPB families. We can only hope for the best outcome for her.

Please take comfort in knowing that all Greeks are concerned about your sister's safe return.

Just thought I'd post an update on the Dru Sjodin case . . . In case you don't remember, Dru was the Gamma Phi Beta sister from Univ. of North Dakota who was abducted 3 years ago (2003) this fall. (Wow, can't believe it's been that long...) He body was found spring 2004 . . .
The trail against Alfonso Rodriguez, Jr. (man suspected of Dru's abduction & murder) started yesterday with opening statements in Fargo, ND.

You could probably find info on sites for the Fargo newspaper, probably papers from Minneapolis, MN area as well...

Also, for those who didn't hear, Dru's mother, Linda Walker, was initiated by the Alpha Beta chapter at the University of North Dakota.
