Just wanted to let everyone know what happened to TriDelt at Ohio State...
there was a fire on the third floor on Nov 2nd while we were eating dinner (getting ready for a rush event) at around 5:45pm...we lost the whole third floor (where my room happened to be) and everything that was in it...the second floor had smoke damage and the first was pretty much okay...(luckily no one was hurt; 47 girls including our house mom live in)
as of the end of the quarter the second floor was able to move back in and the third floor girls were moved into apartments...they are very nice (I live there) and the were furnished COMPELTELY and with veryyyy nice taste might I add...we will be moving back into the house spring quarter which begins the last week of March
...directly after the fire the university had given us temporarily housing in the dorms and were are very thankful to
Tri-delts that lived out of house (the other 50 sisters), the university, friends, and fellow greeks have been amazing (especially DeeGee for dinner)...(of course the fraternities all offered for us to stay at their houses...duh!!!...I personally want to thank Sigma Chi for lending support)...
it has been a hard hard hard past month and a half but things started to get back to normal as we had an awesome informal pledge go active and then were able to go home to relax for the holiday break...when we return it is time to prepare for formal rush and to welcome an awesome new group of girls to one of the strongest chapters on campus
...all of this has brought us closer then anything could of ever done and right now I could never imagine anything without my sisters...thanks to our nationals as well as other chapters nationwide...they were right there from the second they were phoned...
I also wanted to send my regards to all the other houses that have suffered fires in the past and present and I understand what you have gone through...being involved in a fire makes you think of things differently and how precious life is...

Dear Sister of a wonderful bunch of girls:
I'd like to say congratulations on making it through this semester. I know it must have been hard to lose so much (materially and emotionally) but you guys all pulled together and survived this obstacle.
You've outlined what it means to be part of a family-a group that is so supportive in our lowest points in life. And it is because of this that I decided to be a Greek. And it's stories like yours that make me proud to be a part of this community.
My prayers are with you and your sisters during this holiday season and I wish you a safe spring semester!
Aloha!
Loyally,
Sandy

Hello OSU TriDelt,
Not a great recent history for the OSU Greeks with some chapter closings, your misfortune and the situation last year at our Delt House there.
Keep the faith.
I hope you and all of your sisters have a wonderful holiday season.
Fraternally,
DeltAlum
By the way, I grew up in Columbus, did not attend Ohio State, but always enjoy getting back there for a visit.

Dear OSUTridelt,
What a tragic experience. I'm glad to see you and your chapter came out of it o.k. I know that the incident must have been hard on you and your sisters but at least you still have each other and the support of other greeks. Thats wonderful to see everyone pulling for you. My prayers go out to you and your chapter. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Dear OSU TriDelt,
My heart goes out to you and your chapter. I'm so proud that you have pulled through this tragedy as strongly as you have. My prayers and the prayers of Delta Epsilon go out to you, and pray for your safe return to your home. It's obvious that you have a very strong chapter, and your sisterhood exemplifies that.
