So as to prevent confusion, I'll delete/edit my posts.
I currently do not have any available, but as soon as I do, I'll repost accordingly.

<=== would like to be thrown one of these invites. That would be stellar and I'd give you 20 points.

*Tips for Requesting Invites.*
Having given out invites, I just want to extend a few suggestions for requesting them :
1) Best way is to PM someone offering one (or e-mail). That way, they can edit (or delete) their post to say "All gone now!" or similar. Plus, it goes direct to them; guarantees they see it etc.
2) In the PM, please put your email address (for them to send the invite to) and your first and last name (or initial).
Your account is then set up with the e-mail addy you choose (after you click on the link in the invite they email to your address) and that first and last name or initial. Needn't be your real first and last name, but that's up to you! Lots of people have an Internet name they always use for example.
This is because when you eventually get your shiny new account, these are some of the user prefs:
Name:
(shown on mail you send)
* Use my name in Google Accounts (Firstname Lastname)
* Use a business name or nickname: [textbox here]
So, you can set up a new from name but you may wish to have the permanent name set as something you want to stay with.
Enjoy your account.

Under the "Search" button @ the top of your Gmail account it says "Invite a friend to join Gmail!" in red! That is where you'll find out how many invites you have & how to invite!

Rudey, you click on the red "Invite a friend to join Gmail" link at the top of the page while logged in. If it's not there you haven't yet been granted any invites.
It's unknown what causes invites to be provided to you. For me, just using my account worked and a few days later I had some. This may not work for all and there isn't a sure fire way.

Who has an invitation left? I don't want to randomly PM people and harass them.

Peaches-n-Cream, they'll edit/delete their post to say they're out (also ktsnake is out of them) so you can find out by checking rthis thread just before you send the PM.
Eek that posted twice, sorry! I deleted the duplicate.
