Life Loyal
I thought I'd get a new discussion up an running for the new year!
I was looking at KAT and AOII forums, and they have something called Life Loyal programs. I know Sigma has Lifetime Dues that one can pay, but what are everyone's thoughts on the Life Loyal program?
It seems like a very cool way to get recent graduates involved in donating and such right out of school. It also has those nice perks of a recognition pin, retail discounts and such.
I might be the only one who thinks this, but sometimes I get confused in where I have donated with Sigma. Between dues, Gold Program, the Foundation and Walton House, sometimes I wish there was one overall catch-all program. I think it might also be easier for sisters to get into donating if there aren't a bunch of choices. I know from talking to my sisters, they sometimes don't know where or when to donate. I feel like I'm a one woman act to get my chapter sisters more invovled and continue to give back! lol.

I've contemplated doing the Lifetime program, but for now, I am just doing a yearly donation (I recently did the donation for the umbrellas!)
I think I will sign up for GOLD for the new year.
I agree with being confused about giving between dues, Walton, and other things.

There used to be a Young Alumna pin for recent grads who donated to the Foundation. I don't know if they still do this though? I know I thought that was a nice recognition right out of university - I still have mine (and wear it on my jacket).
I also remember at A/CAC years ago there was talk of a pin for donors to the Foundation, but I don't know if anything ever came of it (it was a lovely, simple design), or if it sort of morphed into the Young Alumna pin after awhile?

I think the gold program is for younger alums and you also get a recognition pin....but I agree I would love a life loyal program as well. Lifetime dues program, I will be doing soon. I'm almost done with my gold program commitment I believe, I have to look into that.

If you are confused about Gold/Foundation/Sigma here's the breakdown...at least how I understand it.
Gold = Young alumnae can give to the foundation through monthly (or one time gifts)
Foundation = $ is used for philanthropic activities as well as academic programming for chapters. Theoretically Sigma can petition the foundation to put money towards officer academies etc...and the foundation can say no
Alumnae Dues = Put towards Mable, programming, salaries of employees, colonization activity, basically all the operating costs of a national organization.
Hope this helps!

Graduates Of the Last Decade ...or so I did get a pin when I was in my commitment. It was a indented triangle stick pin. I was going to sign back up....however, I am about to fall out of the target market of last decade graduate. It doesn't seem like it has been that long.
