What's your wardrobe like?

Would you say your wardrobe was trendy, classic, conservative, dramatic, or something else entirely?

It went from trendy to conservative as the age and weight increased. But I do like that boot-leg jeans, with leather boots and heels, snug blouse, but not too tight, just enough tio emphasis my large hips, small waist, and big behind. Not bad for 36, lol.

Non-existent. *laughs*

I don't have a style anymore. It has a lot to do with moving to a place with a completely different climate from what I'm used to, coupled with the expense of an international relocation, a wedding, and not being able to work (at the moment).

Before I moved I worked at an internet service provider where the dress was very, very casual. I usually wore capri pants and shirts, or t-shirt dresses and sandals in the summer, nice sweaters (turtlenecks and Fair-Isle sweaters are my favorite) jeans and boots in the winter.

I guess I can be described as sort of classic preppy with boho overtones (the nappy hair, my funky glasses, my big clunky shoes) I do have a thing for nice handbags though, and I tend to treat myself to a new Coach bag every two to four years or so. They don't wear out, they're classically styled (even the trendier models), and they can last a lifetime -- I have one Coach bag that I bought in 1988 that still looks good!

I like small, simple jewelry with clean lines (hoops, diamond studs), and the only rings I wear are my engagement ring and wedding band.

OLD COACH

OK, sit down for this soror SOTRUE. I love Coach Bags too, although they are not made as well as they use to be, and become too popular. But I remember buying my first Coach. I guess it sticks out because it was the first expensive thing I ever bought myself, and I remember my mothers reaction, because I took her along. She said, "Girl are you crazy, I would never pay that much for a purse."(different time). It's funny, because she has at least 10 now, lol. But it was 1984. Some of you weren't born. I was 19 years old, with a great Summer job. Paid $215. It's still my everyday purse, and the craftsmanship is much better.

something else entirely...all of the above...it just depends on how i feel that day...and since i'm still in school and have to go to class...i can't go way out like i would want to on some occassions...but for the most part it is a little of this...and a little of that...though i seem to be on a 40/50/60/70/80's futuristic kick right now...who knows...

Coach Chic

Soror Special, I feel you. The last bag I bought was one of the Coach "Neo" (made out of neoprene fabric) bags. That was about three years ago (and I'm overdue for a new one!), and it still looks almost as good as the day I bought it.

The new logo Coach bags are cheap looking and I can't stand them. I think it's a cyclical thing. Once all the latecomers are on to their next new fad, I'll still be carrying my Coach bags! I still find their craftsmanship to be top notch, and it shows in the seaming and brass (or pewter) detailing on the bag. And that smell! I used to walk by the Coach store at Lenox Square in Atlanta and just inhale!

I'm hoping to upgrade to a briefcase or computer case this year. Mad expensive, but I've always wanted one!

Also - did you know you can buy Coach bags on eBay?

I tend to have my own style. I think one of these days I am going to get with a seamtress and start having all of my clothes hand made. I hate going shopping b/c 90% I hate what they are selling. I love vibrant colors...esp. orange tones. (They look great with my complexion) I would say I have a mix of conservative and flashy which I wear depending on the event.

I guess I'm the classic GAP spokeswoman. I love sweaters, jeans outfits, khaki pants, and cords. However,my new favorite clothing line is Baby Phat.I love to colors and designs of the clothes. The majority of my clothes are some shade of blue . I don't do the purse thing, I'm afraid I'll set it down and lose it.

Lightbulb Baby Phat?

Really, you like that? Or maybe you guys get a better variety out there.

I find that the style and selection does not justify the price. Cannot see what I could get out of a $65 tee shirt.

I hope I'm not the only out there in GC aland that thinks they dress too casual. I've been building a better wardrobe up for a little while now (thanks to the J.O.) but I think I have a ways to go...

My wardrobe would be classic/conservative. Most of my clothes are very businesslike. The only somewhat trendy items I will buy are shoes.

I don't have enough casual clothes. I desperately need to buy casual clothes and shoes but I don't like to shop anymore.

My style is quite laid back. On any given day, you will find me in jeans and gym shoes. As far as suits go (I don't wear those to often) but I tend towards the conservative. I love Jones of New York. Those suits you can by and (if you take care of your clothes and don't gain too much weight) wear forever. I am with you PrettyKitty, instances of finding something I really like in the stores are few and far between. Mostly I by like basic items and mix and match them to try and create my own style.

My style is pretty conservative, but with a unique flair. I don't like wearing skirts or dresses so most of my day to day wear consists of pants and pantsuits. Everything is pretty covered up on my body (no revealing gear in closet now). My style is unique-most of the clothing I wear are things I buy from regular stores, but no one else wears it!!!

OK, I'm dating myself now LOL. My style is sort of a Black Annie Hall. Shirts, turtlenecks with etnic print jackets, cords, jeans, dockers.

My job allows me to dress casual (unless I have an off-site meeting or an IEP)[COLOR=royalblue]Most important...comfortable shoes. A sista does a lot of walking back and forth.
