Kane Inspiration
Bros,
When you sit down and decide to create the kane of your dreams, what do u look to for inspirations? I try to make my designs personal, rather than look on the net for an idea ya know? My design game is on point, but I'm kinda stuck on how I should make this one. Any ideas?

Yeah me too. I normally do the diamond, but I wanted a more exotic look. I'm thinking about making it like a checker board.

I never really worried about the designs, because a good night of shrine with "them boyz" will tend to create it's own design. Or at least that is what I heard. I wouldn't know about it.

LOL! I was thinking the same thing. i might as well start asking for deference round here .
Personally I like to hyperstripe my canes and I even did a african pattern on one (it was so fly!!!). My wildest cane was one w/ "kappa alpha psi *1911* EM* 1966*" cut into the tape on a hyperstripe.

I hope you don't mind, but someone e-mailed me some sorority/frat ebay items and I thought you guys might be interested in this....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ayphotohosting
Click the link and it'll pull up the ebay site/pic.
The description states:
This is a 100% original Kane and I'm sure it will look great in your hands. I call it "Hot Damn" . I offer a tracking and confirmation number with all my items when they are shipped.
I'm sure some of you probably know about this, but for those of you who don't............... now you know.
Nice Kane.

Bruhs, I was wondering what y'all thought about having black on kanes. I'm a traditionalist, so I won't do it. Ever since I "turned my colors" I stick to red and white. What y'all think?

Well, in the south they do it big with kane expression. Straight black and whites, green, krimson, kream, even a lil skarlet and yellow................... I think it all depends on the province/area you are in. To be honest, even I have put black on my kanes, as long as they are wrapped right. They have to tell a "true story". People that do that had better know something though, cause they are prone to get charged.

black kanes
Personally I think putting green yellow, etc is going too far with it but we do use black a lot down here. (SE Province) When my DP taught us how to wrap kanes he taught us with black. It has a purpose...it is similar to bruhs buying the KAPSI car tags with the black background...you already know what black symbolizes it is kind of related to that.

You know how the SE does things. But the things is, I actually seen a NUPE with a cane that had the BLUE in it! I know that's historical too, but I think that's A LIL TOO MUCH!!!!
