Thumbs up Perfumes

What perfume are you wearing? I've tried, bought, and been given the most common fragrances over the years, but I recently found an incredible scent that has compliments coming my way all day long. People love it, I love it. It's body sprays by CALGON! They only cost $1.95 a piece. This little bottle put some of my $100 bottles to shame.

Well..I use the Bath and Body works fragrances like they are going out of style..they are sure fire classics..as for perfume..I rock Rush by Gucci..its light, and can be worn during times of casual play, or an evening out..dont know how many people are like me and use certain perfumes for certain events, so thats why i threw that in ..toodles!!

I always wear *Opium* (Yves Saint Laurent). Sometimes Red (Giorgio Beverly Hills) and Dazzling (Estee Lauder) on occasion.

At night (going to sleep), I wear body sprays (anything fruity smelling). I think that body sprays are too light to be worn any other time.

Thinking of adding:
-St. John
-Fracas
and a few others I'm just now researching.

I love scented lotions and body oils and go with whatever is catchy. I change scents based on my mood (daily). I am not "affluent" yet so I don't splurge on fragrances. But here is some of what I wear:

Peach Body Lotion - Bath & Body Works
Plumeria Body Lotion - Bath & Body Works
Vanilla Musk Cologne- Avon
Far Away Cologne- Avon
Far Away Fantasy Cologne - Avon
Rare Gold Cologne - Avon
Zhara Body Lotion - Fashion Fair

I would like some Beautiful by Estee Lauder, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I know of a special occasion a year from now that would be good for.

Just about every perfume known to man (or woman) nauseates me. I can think of no greater punishment than sitting behind someone who took a bath in perfume (instead of taking a real bath) and being stuck near them in a movie theater/on a city bus/ or anyplace that I can't easily escape. Perfumes are supposed to be a pleasant sensory experience, not a full scale sensory assault. If I'm more than 2 feet away from you, and I can smell you as if you were right on top of me, YOU'RE WEARING TOO MUCH!

The only things I can stand are natural body oils like Egyptian Musk or Chinese Musk, the fragrances used in Aveda products, and a perfume I bought from Lush called "ICON". Most of the designer fragrances make me seriously ill. The products from Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works don't usually give me that "I'm going to hurl!" feeling, but sometimes they're just loud.

LOL SoTrue...my family used to be "perfume" afficandos, and favored heavier Italian scents and Spanish scents. I used to wear these same fragrances myself, although I was about 117 pounds at the time. Well, I eventually developed a sickened reaction to all perfumes and had to wear nothing for almost a year. Then I reintroduced body lotions into my life. When I finally introduced perfumes back, I selected those perfumes that fit my body and personality, and my life is much happier as a result. I found I favor: pure florals (Gardenia, mixed bouquets a little tuberose), herby and grassy fragrances and grapefruit-centric fragrances. And too much perfume or cologne, is simply, well...too much perfume or cologne.

And Shannieglass...I also have different perfumes for different settings (day, evening, casual, office). If you wear an "evening" perfume in the office or at the amusement park, there will be a lot of nauseated and unhappy folks around you.

I love the Bath and Body Works scents..My favorite now (as they often change) is Cool Citrus Basil. It's a mixture of Avocado Oil and Natural Fruit Enzymes. I also like Sun-ripened Raspberry. Bath and Body Works also has lip gloss or lip balm in fruit scents. I swear I live in that store.
