Over the weekend I had a family member visiting who went to this site called greektalk. It has all of the greeks listed and is a very professional looking site. If you run into this site DO NOT click on the link. It will attempt to download a trojan horse virus among other things onto your computer. I visted the Microsoft site to find out more info. It hijacks Internet Explorer, it changes IE homepage to a fake one and who knows what happens after that. It tries to copy all of your personal info, passwords, etc.
It actually looks a lot like Greekchat. I'm not sure how many viruses the site attempts to download on your computer. Thank goodness my antivirus was able to stop it. But it listed six viruses before it shut the site down. If you do run into this site Microsoft has a patch available.
If you use Windows just keep your system updated. (It's targeting Windows.) I read that it's also using a loophole in Windows Media Player. I'm glad I have sounds for everything on my computer. I heard all of this dinging. So that's what made me get up to see what was going on. When I saw the download warning box I pretty much knew it was downhill from there.
I just had a thought - if this post doesn't get posted they may have a hand in it considering they're posing as a greek forum!
