Random

Okay, so I just finished writing the final, figuring out the answer key, determining which room each student will be in (there are two rooms since there are 42 students sitting the exam), its 1:30am and I'm just now going to bed! While I have enjoyed the teaching, kids, etc I really do not recommend teaching on your lunch hour! If I were to get offered a full-time position I would probably would accept it because I really do like working with the kids - though writing tests sucks!!

Well, off to bed - this is why I took today (Thursday) off so I wasn't rushing around trying to get the tests together, etc before giving the final at 1pm1

I like random threads. About time we had one in AOII.

It's supposed to snow today. We'll see if that really happens.

Don't you hate it when you make a grocery list and forget two important things on your list AND they were sold out of all of the good kaiser and sub rolls? Can't wait until we have another grocery store option in this town.

So, Teacher Beryana, how many of your kids aced your exam?

What about going to the store for only 2 or 3 things, forgetting at least 1 of the things, and buying $30-$60 of stuff that you really did not need???

One got close with a 98%. Couple were in the 90s and, on the bottom end, I had about 5 in the 30s! Most of the kids passed the class and I was not surprised at all by those that recieved F's.

It's Pinewood Derby day! Or, more correctly, after 9 years of Cub Scouts, this is our very last Pinewood Derby. I'm happy and sad at the same time.

Tax return project has the possibility (very good possibility at that!) of coming in $650 UNDER budget - so that $650 can be put into a larger project for next year (new shingles - or, I may just do the house this year and the garage next year.) Other projects that WILL be happening this year are new insulation for the upstairs and possibly walls and repainting the exterior (mint green just is NOT my color!). That should be enough to keep my occupied this summer!

I love doing my taxes! I had a new little "legacy" deduction this year. That was lovely! Not to mention my crappy income from not working for 4 months thanks to that same deduction. REFUND!!! Here come my new hardwood floors

15 below zero with a minus 30 windchill is REALLY cold (though not as cold as about 10 years ago when we hit minus 50 with minus 70 windchills - 5 days in a row!!)!! Oh, what I wouldn't give for some cloud cover to warm things up a little bit - though it was pretty yesterday with the fresh snow and bright blue skies.

Beryana,
Did I mention that you should move here? We get a dusting of snow, and the world stops moving.

PS-I just cleaned out my PM box.

Silver-
I've been down by you during a dusting of snow and almost pulled my hair out because of the stupidity of drivers! Actually, I occassionally check our job postings to see if anything is open in your neck of the woods - but I now have too much going on for me up here to contemplate moving right now (family, DAR curation, etc).

Sarah

P.S. I was just going to wish you a good morning.

It's cold here in Cali...a balmy 61. Last weekend my husband, daugter and I went swiming (yes outside in February). It was 82. I love Southern California!

Right now it's a warm 10 degrees here. With the wind chill it's going to be horrifically cold here tonight.

Love, love, love Stella's blog! Mommy and Daddy should definitely get DL annual passes. Anyone else do the blog thing? I've got one, but never ever think to update it.

And while I'm on a roll, I have an incredible fangirl crush on US Olympian Chad Hedrick. Sigh.
