Post Para, Para!

Lawd knowZ we love para. What is the one item that you treasure and would never wish to part with?

Mine is my sweater. It is 20 years old, fading, but it has everything that my former neo self needed to let folks know I was a proud (new) member of the illustrious Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.

Many young sorors have begged me for the sweater but it will remain with me until I transition into the Chapter Triumphant. Then...who ever gets to my truck of Zeta stuff first can have it. LOL.

I have many items that I would never depart with, but my most treasured item is the pin that my spec gave me when I crossed. I have passed many items on to other Sorors as they crossed...but that pin will remain with me alwayZ.

At the age of 35, I'm a Neo. Therefore all the para I received from the sorors of Zeta Zeta chapter is special, and I can't see parting with any of it.

The very first sweatshirt I have was bought by my mother and grandmother. It is that traditional Royal Blue hoodie with the tac-a-til ZPB letters with the white background. It's in the back of my closet, but will never be destroyed or passed along. My line jacket is hand-embroidered, so will also never be destroyed.

I'm trying to think about what I WILL pass down to my spec who's coming into the 'hood in a couple of weeks.

Wink

A 15 pearl pin was given to me by a deceased soror's sister.

I was just being a nosey neighbor and wanted to comment. I am a neo and I would never give away the first jacket that I was given. I haven't had my neophyte yet and none of my family will be able to attend, so my father gave me my long time wish: "Pretty Grirls Wear 20 Pearls" jacket. I love it so much and would never part with it.

really the one thing that I hate I don't have is my official badge. When my house was broken into the theives stole it, I am in the process of ordering another one, but it will be just that another one, it really is not the same.

My favorite para though, that is hard to say, I love each and every t-shirt, paddle, cup, bumper sticker and everything else, but I guess I will have to say my paddle I got from my "mother" it was my first personalized gift and it is just so bluetiful...... But then again I love that black shirt my boyfriend bought me from tenn......and did I mention my "danger educated black woman" shirt....I told you I can't decide

I had cherised a royalblue and white porcelain S with Zeta Phi Beta written through the spine, that a triumphant soror made it for me ... alas the loma prieta quake reduced my porcelain S to rubble(sigh) but now i'm eyeing my mother's pin (heheheheheeee)
